Giacomini Spider is designed to satisfy the growing need of installing radiant floor systems with very reduced thicknesses: the perfect solution for renovation requirements. The system is also available with the special Spider plastic panels where pipes with a 16-18 mm diameter are installed to ensure a reduced heat loss while developing circuits identical to the more traditional versions.Giacomini Spider, the thin, sturdy and versatile grid with its patented geometry enables to completely submerge the radiant system in the screed -only 3 cm in total- thus ensuring a uniform distribution of thermal energy. Giacomini Spider Slim is the solution for radiant floor systems where every millimetre counts. Designed for renovations with even more reduced thicknesses than the standard Spider, it uses pipes with a 12 mm diameter installed on the thin, sturdy Spider grid. Thanks to its patented geometry, the radiant system is completely submerged in a screed only 20 mm thick, ensuring a uniform distribution of thermal energy and low thermal inertia for fast system response. Available in two configurations: with adhesive base for easy application on existing floors, or with a 6 mm high-density insulation layer.
Isofloor® panels are rigid, high-density moulded expanded polystyrene (EPS) boards with high compressive strength and excellent thermal insulation (low thermal conductivity). They’re designed as the base layer for plastic underfloor heating pipes. Isofloor® is manufactured to EN 13163:2015 under ISO 9001:2015 certified production and carries the CE mark.• Two strength grades: 150 and 200 kPa compressive strength (at 10% deformation) • PLUS version: available with or without a vapour barrier made of high-impact polystyrene film (HIPS) • Panel size: 1.20 m × 0.90 m • Two pipe spacings: 50 mm or 75 mm pitch • 5 mm studs hold the pipe above the insulation, so the screed fully surrounds the pipes • Interlocking edges join the panels into one continuous insulation layer without gaps or thermal bridges • Supplied with a polyethylene foam perimeter strip and expansion joint strip Installation tip: leave a gap of at least 5 mm between the panels and the surrounding walls, filled with a compressible material such as polyethylene foam or low-density EPS. If the insulation design calls for more thickness, lay an additional EPS layer underneath Isofloor®.
